Lipitor

Lipitor is one of the newer medications on the market to lower cholesterol.  It is approved by the FDA and has also been proved to help with more than just lowering cholesterol.  It also helps lower risks for Heart attack and stokes.  Lipitor also has one of the best track records for most medications in its class.  It has been in the works for over 15 years, and it has also had more than 400 clinical trials done on it.  As with any medication it does have some risks and side effects.  This medication can mess with your muscles and liver.  However these side effects are very rare.  As with any medication you should in fact talk with your doctor as your cholesterol may not be bad enough to where it needs to be controlled by medication.  In many cases though the medication is not enough.  Most people still have to follow a healthy diet while on the medication to make sure their cholesterol stays where it should be.  And with every medication that you take you should do your own research into Lipitor to make sure that it is something you want to take.  The best route to maintain your cholesterol is to watch what you eat and if you choose take a medication such a Lipitor for a little added help.
